Before heading into your new adventure with AToolsX, you need to setup everything first and there are a few things to take care of!

If you encounter problems, make sure to check the Troubleshooting page first!

~ Purchase a license~

The very first step is to purchase a License, which is required to use AToolsX.

• Remember: A License Key is valid for 30 days and there is no auto-renewal!

Your 30 days will start running once you have activated the License key inside the Launcher, as mentioned on Step 3 below.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to read this before purchasing!

Additionally, please install the classic ATools first in order to prevent most of common issues related to the setup.

~ Installation ~

⤵️Then, extract the ZIP using WinRar or 7zip.

🔓 Password is: atoolsx

Just like most of unsigned applications, your Antivirus may warn you or even flag the Installer as harmful, which is of course not the case. You may need to add an exception for it. The same could happen with the Launcher after installing or even with the AToolsX applications. Keep this in mind.

Start the AToolsXInstaller.exe now.

Please read the Terms and Conditions before pressing the "NEXT"-Button and hit the checkbox if you fully agree to them:

Next, you'll have to choose the resource path of your server files! This is where AToolsX is going to install itself to.

It's crucial to install it into the resource, just like the classic ATools.

Please create a backup of your current resource before installing AToolsX, especially because at time of this writing, we are in an early access phase! This also helps if you mess up something when trying to install.

Optionally, choose if you want to create a desktop shortcut automatically and if you want to launch AToolX after installing.

Lastly, confirm that you actually have made a backup of your resource folder by clicking on the checkbox. Boboku will show your thumbs up if you have done so!

Then, click the "INSTALL"-Button and wait until the installation has been finished. It will also automatically install required runtimes and DX9.

Done!

You can now open the Launcher if it didn't open automatically via the "Launch AToolsX after installing"-Checkbox.

~ License Activation ~

Open up the Launcher/Patcher and it will prompt you to activate your purchased License Key. This is required in order to use AToolsX applications.

Good to know: Your 30 days will start running after activating the License Key!

Now enter your valid License Key and click the checkbox to confirm that this License will be bound and locked to the device.

After doing so, hit the "ACTIVATE!"-Button.

After successfully activating your License Key, you'll now have access to AToolsX, congrats!

It should now start patching.

You'll see your License Key on the bottom left and you may copy it by clicking on it, in case you need to show it on very specific support cases.

The left time of your License is shown on the bottom right. It will turn red if your left time reached 3 days or below.

Once the patching has been finished, you can finally start AToolsX application(s) of your choice.

Keep in mind that patching is not possible if you have an AToolsX application currently running. However, if there is a patch available and if your have opened an AToolsX at the same time, the Launcher will notify you about that.
